Growing up we didn’t have a lot of material items, but we had plenty of love and the food that came with it.. All of my favorite childhood memories centered on food - my grandmother’s kitchen stocked with frozen pizza and chocolate milk, the tamale making parties with all the women in the family laughing around the table, and the special lasagna we made to celebrate achievements big and small. When we gathered for a meal, we were our most authentic selves.

Now that I’m a mom, I want to pass this along to my children-not just the cooking skills or the fun traditions, but the core belief that home is a safe and loving place and that when things are hard, you can always come together for a meal. Making dinner and gathering around the table each night is the clearest, most consistent way to create that kind of home.

I don’t think I’m the only one. I see this pursuit in my brilliant, hard-working friends. They’re kicking ass at their careers and raising dynamic children, but managing all of the pieces is exhausting. They want to create homes that are deeply grounded in love and we all wish it were just a bit easier.

I started Gather’d Market because I believe we want simple technology that makes our lives easier, more than we want self-driving cars. I believe food isn’t meant to be another thing on our miles-long checklist, right before we tuck the kids into bed. Food is key to making our world, our bodies, and our families better, and Gather’d Market will make this easier to do.
